Gothenburg Botanical Garden

Gothenburg Botanical Garden is with 175 hectare one of the largest in Europe of its kind. The cultivated part occupies 20 hectare and houses 16.000 species on outdoor cultivation.

The location within the Gothenburg Botanical Garden gives us
outstanding opportunities in research, teaching, and public outreach. The head of the Garden serves as examiner at the PhD education program and holds a professorship at the university. The necessary space, support, and infrastructure at the department is available for Garden staff to perform research.
