We are looking for new coworkers!

News: Jun 27, 2019

At the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences we are now recruiting five new lecturers within our main research areas - physiology, ecology/conservation biology, environmental sciences and systematics/biodiversity. This is part of a strategic initiative in the overarching theme “consequences of environmental factors on biological systems”. The aim is to further explore how nature responds to current changes in the environment and human activities and how negative effects can be mitigated.

The duties include teaching and research, and merits in both areas weigh equally in the assessment. Teaching will include courses in biology and/or environmental sciences at undergraduate as well as graduate level. In addition to lectures and other exercises, course responsibility is included, as well as supervision of degree project students and PhD-students. As a part of a larger team of lecturers, you are also expected to take an active part in the development and renewal of the teaching with regard to both form and content.

As a lecturer you are expected to develop an independent research program in line with the research themes at the department (see our Main research areas), and to apply for external grants to build and lead your own research group.

Application closes August 20, 2019
