Regulation of photosynthesis and biomass production

The ongoing research in our group is dedicated to understand photosynthetic regulation by ion fluxes in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana and the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. A new project we initiated recently is to use our photosynthesis expertise for biomass production in microalgae. Since there is an urgent need to develop highly productive and sustainable energy systems under an outdoor environment that is changing from seconds to seasons.
