About Åsa Arrhenius

More information about Åsa Arrhenius

My scientific background is within ecotoxicology of chemical mixtures with effect studies mainly using microbial communities. Other areas of interest has been on the ecotoxicology of pharmaceuticals and biocides especially antifouling biocides and their mixtures.

My daily work is diverse and currently I am working half time as coordinator for the FRAM Centre for future chemical risk assessment and management strategies (www.fram.gu.se). I am involved in several research projects together with Prof. Thomas Backhaus. Additionally I teach at bachelor and master level in environmental sciences and ecotoxicology.

I also do ~20% of my time general for BioEnv as support in managing some labs and as safety representative, representing the employees in the work on work environment.
