Research interests

My research area is behavioural and evolutionary ecology. I predominantly work with fish as model organisms with an interdisciplinary approach integrating basic and applied aspects. I am interested in the evolutionary mechanisms shaping behaviour, growth and survival. Applied aspects include genetic and environmental effects of domestication on the behaviour and physiology of fish and consequences for interactions between hatchery and wild populations, as well as ecological risk assessment of escaped farmed fish, including transgenic fish.

Fish and Fisheries Evolutionary Ecology
PhD-student course HT 2015

The papers below are selected by the five main lecturers and related to the subjects discussed at their lectures at the workshop. Select three papers among the ones below and for each paper write a research essay (2-3 A4 pages, max 9000 characters with spaces) which critically reviews and discuss the paper. The essays should be emailed to the course leader Jörgen Johnsson, jorgen.johnsson@bioenv.gu.se by Monday 14 September at latest.
